The sound is like thunder and he winces backward, eyes flashing up, instantly focusing in on the man's face, then his eyes, then his molecules. He gasps and claps his hands to his face and staggers backward a little further, breathing heavy. It is a few minutes before he can be calm again and he speaks quietly, eyes still closed.
"You know of my people, stranger?"
His voice is but a whisper and yet it comes as thunder to his ears.
"I didnt know any others made it off my world. I would not have myself, save for this place... and now I find myself afflicted by whatever this madness is..."
He shakes his head, but slowly, eyes closed.
"Apparently natural, apparently normal for my kind, but confusing and quite out of my control..."
Matt's out wandering, seeking a little solitude but too restless to just sit out by the lake.
He hear's the other long before he comes across him and is a little surprised to find someone else out here. He also contemplates avoiding the stranger but as he gets closer there are signals in his breathing and heart rate that tell Matt that somethings not quite right.
He approaches the man allowing his presence to be known. "Didn't expect to find any others out here."
The crunch of footsteps warns him, the sound of footfalls like hundreds of feet. He staggers but marshals himself and the thunder of words is held and caught and resisted. His voice is still strained and quiet as he speaks and he does not look up, but speaks as he looks to the ground.
"Many walk the night... it is a place of quiet and peace."
"Seems as if this, this natuiral occurrance? Was the acclimation of my body to this envioronment.,.. which is ending up granting me powers? Over which, at the moment, I have no control."
he glances slgihtly at her, eyes cracked barely.
"It might have been better to let it go slowly, but... it is done."

It involved using the water to carve out a series of channels, almost like a blueprint. It's for something odd, don't worry.
But his head lifts at a familiar smell, and he turns his attention to Jor-el. And his eyesbrows raise.
"A Kryptonian. Amazing."

Still that whiseper as he shifts slightly, and winces, as his foot sinks into the ground an extra half inch.
"I am finding it hard to adjust to a new situation I find myself in, and approaching it scientifically isnt working very well just now."
