Michael glances up automatically by his seat at the door... and freezes.

He remembers what he Saw.

"...Garion?"

Garion doesn't answer. He lifts a hand to his face, one finger wiping a tear away curiously.

Michael gets up, slowly, and walks over.

"Garion?"

And he moves, too quick for a man of his size. Quick and sharp, like a wolf, like a man, angry and snarling. His hand twists in the front of Michael's shirt and lifts him.

"Who did you tell? Who did you tell?"

"Garion? Are you all right?"

Snow is there, looking rather worried.

He shakes his head, burying his face in his hands.

"Oh."

She pauses, unsure how to proceed.

"Is there anything I can do?"

A shudder, almost like a chuckle, and another shake of his head.

"No. I... don't... I--"

He could be dead. He could be gone forever. He could be drowned. He could have been dropped on the rocks. A thousand horrors dance in his mind and he's never cursed his vivid imagination before as he does now.

Silk enters the bar looking grim, and rather surprised. But he doesn't hesitate. He knows why he's here and immediately starts looking round for his friend.

'Garion!'

He hurries over and a hand goes to his shoulder. Suddenly, there doesn't seem a lot that can be said, expect,

'We'll find him. We will.'

He looks up to Silk.

"Right. Right. Of course."

And then sarcasm leaves him as he flumps back down.

"This is just..."

Silk tugs at his nose unconsciously, his quick mind thinking things over even as he sits down and looks worriedly at the young king.

'I know. I...'

He doesn't know. Not like Garion does. But he can imagine - and the effect on someone he cares for like this is enough to make him rage.

'Everyone's there. We'll get back to Riva and tear the place apart. We will find him Garion.'

"I thought... it was over."

And he looks up to Silk now.

"I... I was a good king, yes? Not a bad one, anyway. I wasn't... wasn't being a tyrant or causing undue trouble or-or-or trying to conquer anyone else. I didn't..."

He shakes.

"Why?"

Not even 'why me' anymore, because it's beyond him. It was about more than him now. It was about his family and his kingdom and his marriage and everything else.
