Around Town, Late Sunday Night
It was quiet when Duo arrived in town. Late enough most people wouldn't just be wandering around town and that was exactly how he wanted it. How he felt comfortable. He wasn't sure why he was there, a small town that looked so...old fashioned. Nothing like he was used to. Almost like he'd fallen back through time. There wasn't even a Preventer checkpoint anywhere along the way. So maybe he had fallen through time or something. He didn't know how the place could have escaped being affected by the war, but it looked peaceful, and that was exactly what he wanted.
He'd stick around for a bit.
The air was colder than he was used to, the colonies always kept the temperature at perfectly comfortable for the simulated season, but he couldn't complain. It was just one more thing on the list of what made this little town the perfect place to take a break. It was different.
Duo hiked his bag comfortably on his shoulder and wandered slowly through the streets. Taking stock of the place, sharp eyes taking in everything and judging dangers before he settled in.
