For all her talk of wanting a normal life, Mary was still restless and fighting the urge to go out and check the shadows for anything that shouldn't be there. Part of it might have been wanting to show Dean that she was just as good -- or a better -- hunter than he was. Eventually she gave up and headed outside to do a little patrolling and work the restlessness out of her system.
