It's Turkey Day
Or perhaps it should be called Cranberry Day at our house. We have cranberry sauce, cranberry sherbet, cranberry slaw, and I put a pound of cranberries in the stuffing and have cranberries in the port basting solution.
We are headed for a 7 PM dinner. I have a huge turkey roasting slowly, the kitchen table is covered in snacks, my sister in law & husband are here with us, and we are settled in for a day of eating and drinking. Life is good.
Poor Chip is no longer with us. He loved Thanksgiving because we'd give him turkey dinner as well. He'd spend the whole day under the kitchen table watching the oven, and helping to clean up any snacks that fell on the floor.
Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving to all. My friends from LJ & HA are among the things I am thankful for.
