1 Year, 1 Month, and 20 Days
The subject alludes to the fact that it's been some time since the last time I updated. I was bored at work so I decided to see if the site blocker at work blocks livejournal. Well guess what? It doesn't. After I caught up on what Summer and Rosemary had to say, I decided I would update and ruin what I've had going for over a year.
Well in that time I've:
Graduated
Got an internship with PennDOT
Got rejected from Dickinson, Syracuse, and University of Buffalo for law school
Got hired as a temp clerk with PennDOT so that my income wouldn't rely solely on the lack of a gag reflex
Got an interview with DEP
Got the job at DEP making 50% more than I made at PennDOT
Got accepted to law school
Also, Jen and I have more or less been living together than May 28. It's pretty exciting. But it's also sad that when she graduates next year she'll be going to grad school (i.e. moving out of the area). Life honestly has not been any better. Other than missing some of my college friends and financial issues (a constant source of paranoia), I cannot think of a time that I was happier from alarm clock to pillow. Most of the sadness I've felt in the last 8 or 9 months has just been pangs of nostalgia. The upside of that is you can't experience that without great memories.
Moving forward I've learned that business-speak crawls into my everyday lingo. Case in point, moving forward. Also value-added and offline. And that's not offline as in, I do not have an internet connection. That's offline as in, in person.
Upcoming big days in my life are as follows:
May- Jen's formal, hitting the bars in Carlisle with Nick
June- Pat and Jill's Wedding
July- RPC
August- Lollapalooza, vacation in the Adirondacks, 4 year anniversary with Jen, start law school.
