My days of a stress-free college existence are officially at an end (for this term, at least). I have a paper due on Wednesday that I'm only about halfway through researching, and then on Friday I have a midterm. And then next week, I have another midterm. And the week after that, I have to lead a class discussion for 15% of my grade. And the week after that I have another paper due. And then another paper. And then finals (two exams and a paper), if I live that long.
This afternoon, I have an interview with the people who run the Lincoln Studies Center, so I'm pretty nervous. I can hardly impress them with my extensive knowledge of the Lincoln/Douglas debates, as I only know what I gathered from the Wikipedia article I read on Friday.
My birthday is on Thursday (between the paper and the midterm). I'm excited about it in a way I haven't been about a birthday in a long while, because this year I've got plenty of friends to celebrate with. They're making me a cake! And we're going to go to a Chinese buffet for dinner, and then I think I'm going to do an alcohol run, and a few of my friends will have a few drinks with me (others will abstain).
...And now I'm going to take a short nap before class. I like naps.
