I have been skiing for some time now (3 seasons !!). The ski slopes are graded based on their incline and difficulty.
I graduated from greens last seasons. This season, i have been been doing blues, comfortably. In fact, I did try some blacks this past weekend.  So, I am planning to buy Ski boots, but in a confused state. I am yet to do any major ( Read more... )

The skiing at squaw valley today was great. The weather was perfect till we reached there and started skiing. It started snowing, and later turned into a mild blizzard. The view from the top was amazing and later it ended up in ZERO visibility.

The last trip to the ski slopes for the season .. Again the ritual was the same with early morning drive to Tahoe. This time even though we didn't try the blacks, but we tried the parks with jumps which was lot of fun, but at the same time i had hammered by legs so much that I stopped at noon. I was done .. I cud barely walk ..

Last weekend was the first of the series of 3 planned visits to sierra at Tahoe. This time (2nd trip), it was lot of fun, since we took the more terrain class. We did the west bowl. I negotiated the blues pretty well and I should be trying blacks the next time. There was lot of snow that had accumulated over the last few days and it was amazing. I ( Read more... )

I do ski, but my india trip and the following bout of illness had dampened my spirits to ski that I almost declared, " not skiing for me this season". But that changed, and i decided to go anyway.
