DAY 23: An overrated movie
I hope I don't get too much crap for this...you tread on thin ice when you say that anything is overrated...
Right now, I feel that the original Alice in Wonderland is kind of overrated. There's a billion things that are Alice-related merchandise, and I won't lie, I enjoyed the Tim Burton remake, but somehow... I don't know. I just re-watched the movie the other day, and was all excited for it, and somehow I just wasn't that into it. I don't get why so many people love Alice stuff so much - I guess because it's iconic and cute, but sandwiched between viewings of Cinderella and Peter Pan (yes, I've been on an animation kick lately, what of it?), it just doesn't quite compare story- and character-wise. Ironically enough, it's not Kathryn Beaumont, because I adore her in Peter Pan! Alice is not one that I was particularly into as a child, either. Maybe it's the plot being all over the place, or... I just don't know. It just doesn't appeal to me quite like others. *shrug*
