Looks like you've gotten a lot of great advice on Maine.. I can fill in the blanks for Nova Scotia (& Cape Breton) and PEI. It's beautiful!!! How long will you have? I can give you a full report on places to stay and things to do. Will reply later when I have more time!

Awesome - I would love that! We have 2 weeks to play with for both Maine and Nova Scotia - so a good amount.

Thanks so much for this!! What was it that you didn't like about the Keltic Lodge? It was recommended to us by someone else as a kid-friendly place. A lot to keep in mind when traveling with a baby and a toddler!

I am so excited to check out all of the links you posted. Thanks so much again!

THere are other places in PEI that are really nice as well.. there's a culinary school that has a resort/inn, can' remember what it's called.. but Dalvay by the Sea was a highlight.

Keltic Lodge - We stayed at the main inn and happened to be next to some disgusting guy who was watching Letterman and smoking all night long. We could hear and smell EVERYTHING! The walls are paper thin. That was in 2002... I know people who have had wonderful experiences there too. I'd say give it a try but keep that in mind when booking your accommodation.

It's a lovely trip! THinking about it makes me want to go back but I'm not sure we're that brave with road trips!
