We're all caught up in our own little lives...we rarely stop to open our eyes to everything around.

\The past few days have been focused on enjoying myself....Doing everything that makes me happy, dependent on no one. Today I went and bought a Lonely Planet Guide to Australia and another for Melbourne. While I was there I stopped over and chatted a bit with Megan (an added bonus) at Joe Muggs...

The goal here was to get my ass in gear for this trip...I've been looking into airfare...it's going to be around 1500 bucks...Maybe cheaper if I find a sweet deal (Doubtful)...In my book I also read that a person could easily enjoy themselves and live off of $65 bucks a day...with my 3k budget that will put me at about 23 days...I am sure I will have more to spend...near the 4k mark...But its actually going to be cheaper for me to go due to me staying with my friend in the down under in Melbourne. Even though I'll have Nick there to show me the land...show me how its down in the world down under...It'll be a hell of an experince. At the same time thats what its about also...networking with people all ove the planet to share in such awesome experinces like this...To teach each other, to show each other things you've seen...I'm just sorry I cant repay Nick by letting him see good ole Terre haute!

I spent about 2-3 hours reading that book today and I was soooo overwhelmed with everything I could possibly do/see there...Then I got to thinking...This is one country...out of MANY I want to visit...This went further to make me realize...I've seen like .001% of this planet...I've seen some amazing sighs in Colorado, DC, etc...Been to Florida...But there are SOOOO MANY Places I haven't seen...so many places I want to go...I really haven’t lived life...I haven't really done much, I’ve just went to school and lived here in Terre Haute....That needs to change...

From this summer onward I plan to take a vacation outside of the US at least once a year...When I am in the military I plan to be stationed in many places overseas so I can take leave and just Go...go see Europe, go see Asia...go see Africa, South America. I want to go to Every Continent (save Antarctica unless I really want to)...I want to venture to places not many people have ventured before...Go to places where I can show my kids pictures and be like...Yeah...I went there...I hiked that, I climbed this...I ventured there....I swam there...

I have yet but began to live the life I've always dreamt of...to travel the world...There is sooo much to see, so much to do...I feel like I am wasting my life just being here in Terre Haute...of course its for education, to become a fighter pilot. Once I do that then ill do my job every year and have a month each year to travel. After 20 plus years in the Air Force I'm going to go to all the other places I wanted to see...wanted to go.

You only live once...I cant keep letting life pass me up. Pass me by...We each have our ambitions, our dreams...Traveling the world is mine...along with becoming a pilot.

Australia...my first destination outside the US, past Colorado actually...

I will definitely go there more then just this once...The objective for this trip is to be on my own away from everything I know...A place I have no clue about...That only I can prepare for, where I can depend on no one. The objective is to travel, to get the experience of international flying...of setting foot on a place half the planet away...This is a trip to find myself...a trip I can look back on and I have clarity of who I am, what I stand for...what I want out of my life...

Our lives we get caught up in every day are such a small part of this world...We dwell on the present, dwell on the past...When we look at the ground and get upset of what we cant change...When we need to lift our heads, look to the sky, the stars, the sun...Where we think...This is all pointless...We need to be living and not regretting!

July cant come quick enough...till then I'll be reading...preparing...

First trip Australia...next..

Europe (England, France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, Greece, etc)...
Asia (Japan mainly...)
South America...
Africa...
I'll explain north America when i am old...

here is to forgetting about all the drama...here is to getting away...moving on...becoming a better person...seeing the world…learning about this amazing place called Earth.
