New York City Comic Con ~ Friday, October 8th, 2010
Here is the writeup on Friday!! :D And, as before, I will reward all people who read thru this posting (or actually, anyone who clicks on the lj-cut and goes and looks) with a fun TMNT piccy! XD

FRIDAY OCTOBER 8TH, 2010! :
Jenn & I got up and ate the hotel breakfast with Jem & Robina this morning. Turns out that their plans to see the statue of liberty had fell through, so I suggested we go to see pop-tarts world. (which I had spotted on thursday during our shingles excursion) Poptarts world wasn't what I wanted it to be :p I wanted to be able to make my own poptart with whatever flavor and frosting combination I wanted. *pout* It was basically a place where you could make an overly expensive BOX of poptarts with whatever ones that they already had. Booo!
We decided after we were done there that we would go over to the toys r us in times square and see the ferris wheel that was inside the store. Then the plan was to walk up to central park and chill there for a while, then take a cab to S'Mac and eat there for lunch, then head back to the hotel and go to the convention.
We were expecting Jordan & claire to arrive at like 3PM, so we SHOULD have had plenty of time. However, by some miracle, Claire & Jordan missed any traffic, and after we got out of toysrus and were walking to central park, they texted us and said they were AT THE HOTEL. ARGH. This situation frustrated me. It wasn't Claire or Jordan's fault. It really wasn't anyone's fault. Fates were just conspiring to annoy me.
We were pretty far from the hotel, so we decided to continue on to central park and check it out before we went back to the hotel. When we got to central park, Robina was TOTALLY awesome and paid for us to take a horse-drawn carriage ride around the park. (We were all kinda wiped from speed walking from times square to central park) I don't know about everyone else, but I had trouble enjoying myself knowing that Claire and Jordan were waiting on us back at the hotel :p blech. Stoopid situation. I hatez you! Grrr!
Anyway, we took a cab back from central park to the hotel, only to find that the housekeeper had let Jordan & Claire into the hotel room! *grumble grumble* HOWEVER, it was awesome to meet Jordan! We talked for a short bit, then Jenn, Jem, Robina, & I left and took a cab to S'mac. It's this cool restaurant that serves all sorts of different kinds of mac & cheese. Jenn has wanted to go there ever since she heard of it, she loves mac & Cheese. The food actually looked pretty decent. I ended up only having a salad, because the only type of Mac n Cheese I like is the Kraft kind. The bottled root beer they had was very yummy tho! :D
After that, we took a cab back to the hotel. I can't remember if Jordan & Claire were in the room when we got back. Jem & Robina decided to head to the con for a while. Jenn was still feeling pretty run down (because of the shingles :p) so I decided to stay in the hotel room with her and take a nap. We didn't expect anyone back until around 4PM, so it should have been just fine. However, after Jenn had taken her muscle relaxer, and we were getting all nestled in for a nap, Jordan and Claire came back from the con early! ARGH! I tell you, the fates were just conspiring to annoy me on that day!! It turns out that the dude that they were pining over seeing (a guy who plays Spike on Buffy) was a lot more accessible than they thought he would have been. So, they got their meeting and fawning and fangirling over early, and had decided to head back to the hotel.
Jenn pouted at the fact that she was missing out on conversations, but the combination of muscle relaxer and exhaustion from being sick kicked her butt and made her sleep anyway.
I don't remember much of what was yammered about as we lounged about Friday afternoon. Claire worked on finishing Jordan's nails for sexy!Raph, and I had fun going thru Claire's HUGE collection of nail polishes.
Later, when Jenn woke up, she had fun painting one toenail with different colors polish over and over o_0 ... I have a strange girlfriend.
After Jem & Robina came back from con, we ordered Chinese food delivery for supper. I was silly and in the process of gathering everyone else's orders, I forgot to order something for myself *facepalm* Oh well, there was extra white rice, so I just gorged myself on that (and it was very yummy and satisfying).
While we were eating, KellyAnne (autumndandelion) showed up! Yay! My IDIOT self had given her the WRONG address for the hotel, and thus caused her a ton of stress and problems getting to the hotel. I still feel terrible about that. If there's ANYTHING I can do to make it up to you, KellyAnne, let me know! :/
We spent the rest of the time before bed just getting everything put into place and chilling. I cajoled Claire into painting my fingernails neon orange for my sexy Mikey cosplay.

This awesome mom made TMNT costumes for her son and daughter (and even made up a ninja turtle for her little daughter to be, Versace!) Adoreable! And what an AWESOME mom! Versace is now my ULTIMATE favorite TMNT OFC/MarySue! XD
