This is for Loxelyprince! I hope this satisfies your request...
Um, I apologize for not showing the picture prompts! I'm having a terrible time inserting pictures into LJ format!
The pictures were supposed to be (1) from Lisa's wonderful album, picture #224 ( Read more... )

Oh, holey moley, that was fascinating! And deeply unsettling, I might add. Very well conceived and written.

Frankly, I'm dying to know what might happen hext--have you given any thought to continuing the story?

Thank you for the kind words. I was hoping the story would be...unsettling!
As to what would happen next...hmmm. Considering the season (and my 'evil twin' nature) perhaps not. Bwa hah hah!

OMG this is AMAZING!!! You actually have Illya competing at an Olympics! I LOVE that!!!
Thank you *so* much for picking up my prompt and writing a fabulous story that fits it so perfectly :-)
p.s. Loved the line:-
“Come, come, Victor, you weren’t treated badly,” chided Alexander softly.
It's so Mr Waverley. :-)
p.p.s. Poor Napoleon *hugs him and hopes Section 8 can get the machine working*

Glad you liked it! It was fun writing a story with your prompt and making it also fit in with the Halloween part.
Yes, I do feel a teensy bit of guilt leaving Napoleon waiting...

Oooh, I shall remember that and for the next Halloween Challenge perhaps post a picture of Napoleon staring sadly at a Time Tunnel device... *grins*

A full year...? Of course, if time can be manipulated, then the time lost could be meaningless.
Oh, and then for the key question--did Illya make the change...or did he leave things as they were (knowing what was coming)? *smirks evilly*

What a fabulous story, but so, so sad in the end. Poor Napoleon... I wonder if he will try to seek out the 'new' Illya, just to make sure he's okay.

Thank you for a great treat!

Leaves one wanting and sad. Can't image one of them without the other.

I'm sure that our alturistic Russian is not about to put personal glory and happiness above Saving the World. As soon as he can figure out how to get back to his real life, he will. He's probably already decided to let the accident happen so his life does not actually change, but is conflicted about Sasha dying on her way to be with him. Fortunately, Napoleon is already in the process of retrieving him via the Time Tunnel, so Illya won't actually have to have an accident and consequently his wife won't die, but he will disappear in that time (she'll blame the KGB, marry again and live happily ever after with her new husband, 3 children and 8 grand-children) and Napoleon will console Illya (repeatedly and very thoroughly, to their mutual and very great satisfaction) in our reality. :-)

Ah, an ending that satisfies everyone, at least as far as the happy ending.

I really wish I'd watch the show Time Tunnel now...

Lol! The un-happy ending faction can come up with their own story :-)

I loved the Time Tunnel when I was a kid! I thought James Darren was really cute. The ep when they ended up on the Titanic was excellent. If they'd gone down to the radio room, they'd have bumped into DMc because he was definitely there in "A Night To Remember". See...
