Aaaand back to Tokyo, too =B!!

So, as mentioned yesterday, I really did make it to Tokyo today =B!! It was an expensive trip, as a train ticked from Tsukuba to Tokyo and back again costs already around 20 Euros and, well... I did do some souvenier shopping. Just a little bit, tho... (yeah right.)

So I had originally planned to wander around in Akihabara (since that's where the express train from Tsukuba stops) and also go to Ikebukuro. Plans changed, however, because I'm a dork.

Anyways, so everything went fine, I got to Akiba alright and decided to go to Ikebukuro first, because my favouritest of favourite stores is there. And also because it makes me feel nostalgic for my last semester abroad, since Ikebukuro was where I had to change trains on my way to Ochanomizu University and I don't even remember how many evenings I've spent there.
And it was good to be back.

And then the highlight of the day happened right there on the street. There was a middle aged and seemingly not all that crazy man taking his pile of cats for a walk in a stroller. Wtf. I was honestly so torn between going omgawwwwwwcuteeeee and wtfisthisomg. I ended up sticking with the cute, tho, because cat pile x3! Totally adorable. Even the one all the way at the bottom that looks like it wants to murder someone.

So after that encounter I made my way to my favourite store: Animate. It's a huge (read 7 floors) store stuffed with anime and manga merchandise and it's so colourful it will make your eyes bleed. rainbows.

Told you it's huge.

And they have their own snack dealer right in front of the store who sells themed snacks from the latest cool anime. Last time it was still Free!, I have no idea what is was this time, tho xD.

Again, especially for Noi because I thought you'd like a cute little flashback.

After my visit to Animate, I also stopped by Closet Child, although they have stopped selling second hand BJD stuff ;-; ... And I also went to Gift Gate, which is a cute Sanrio store with Hello Kitty and friends.
Then I had a bite to eat and after that is when everything went haywire xD. And that's because I spotted a girl with a cute Raichu pouch. So I very spontaneously decided to go to the Pokemon Center! Which is located in Hamamatsucho, which is basically at the other end of the city. But I figured since all the other stores already had their Halloween stuff on display, the Pokemon Center might as well and for the ghost pkmn loving me that was enough reason to go. (Even tho already then I was feeling tired and my feet hurt xD.)

So anyway, I went to Hamamatsucho, which took me almost half an hour. Just to find out that the Pokemon Center was gone. There was just an empty store front left. And I was like, wtf, it can't have disappeared completely. So I went back to the station to use the wifi there and check on the location of the Pokemon Center. Turns out it moved to Sunshine City. Which is a huge (read several floors with several qm² of different stores) department building... in Ikebukuro. Well fuck.
So I  thought okay, let's save the pkmn stuff for another day, you'll be back to Tokyo soon, anyways. Right? Right.... WRONG.
Of course I went back all the way to Ikebukuro.

And boy, am I glad that I did lol.
Seems like the Pokemon Center didn't just move, it also got an upgrade. Or rather: a mega evolution, because the Pokemon Center Tokyo evolved into the Pokemon Center MEGA TOKYO......... no, seriously.

And here's the actual entrance. This store certainly deserves to be called mega. It's like three times as large as the old one was. Needless to say, I was in heaven.

And I was right, as well. They did have their Halloween stuff up already. Which consisted mainly of Pikachu shaped pumpkins in various sizes......

Mega evolution was a huge deal at the store. xD

And rows upon rows of plushies, omg.

And they also did have some ghost pkmn specials, yay. Ended up not buying anything of that, tho xD. I was hoping for a Pumpkaboo, because seriously, it's like the single most perfect Halloween pokemon. But there was just a tiny Pumpkaboo pin. Which was ugly. Go figure. I'm hoping they might have some when I return closer to Halloween.

You could also play the new Pokken Tournament there, which was awesome. Of course I tried and failed but whatevs xD.

When I left the Pokemon Center, it was already almost dark outside.
One more especially for Noi xD. I would have loved to take you there when you come over, but it's only open until today ;w;.

Some random shots of Ikebukuro by night.

And when I got back to Akihabara, it was already completely dark. And this is pretty much the only thing I got to see of Akiba today xDD... well, next time, I guess.

Now for the most important part: the LOOOOOOOT. As I said, I didn't buy allll that much xD.
From Animate, I got the Persona4 surpise box and the little teddy plus his outfit. From Sanrio Gift Gate I got the "Hummingmint" ID holder, it's SO CUTE OMG. Is Hummingmint a new Sanrio character? I've never seen him/her anywhere, but omg the cute. I also got the random Hello Kitty pin with my purchase lol. The ring I got from Closet Child and the Espeon bean baby from the Pokemon Center.
Also, the travel sim card, which was way too expensive. But hopefully, I'll be able to use my phone with that. I'll let my tutor figure it out lol.

Close-up of the plush army. They shall grow and prosper.

Also: some random gacha phone straps. A Sailor Moon grail pendant, a cute Rascal plush and the best one: a Nekoatsume phone plug. Nekoatsume is a new app that my tutor showd me and that I've been hopelessly addicted to these past few days xD. Nekoatsume literally translates to cat collecting and that's basically what you do: you lure them into your backyard with foods and toys and then take sneaky stalker pictures xD. So. much. fun.

Here's the teddy all dressed up in a cute little Halloween outfit. Needs a name, still.

And that's what was inside the surprise box: luckily my favourite character Teddy/Kuma x3.

Omake: I discovered my new favourite drink: momomizu. peach water. It's the best, seriously.

Okay, that's it for today. Don't know when the next pictures will be coming, but we'll see. Let's hope for some exciting days xD! I have my first class on Friday, so it's getting serious, yo.
