Here we go again =B!
Nothing too special happened, but I figured I could maybe post all the random snapshots I did during the week. And Sunday seems a good day to do this, okay.
This. This is what I get to look forward to everyday at lunchtime xD! It's curry + rice + croquettes + cheese. I know it doesn't look all that tasty, but let me tell you OHMYGODITSDELICIOUS. Best food, hands down. All the food in the cafeteria seems to be pretty nice, tho, I'm gonna have to try my way through it xD.
Found another cat the other day =B! That makes three in total, but there are probably more. I went to the supermarket today and bought cat treats. I am prepared now, kittehs. Come to me.
And I also found this. HOLY FUCKING CRAP! It's huge... probably the size of my palm or even bigger, woah.
After I had a pretty lazy day yesterday, I was a little more active today and explored the area a bit. Since there's literally nothing around in a comfortable walking distance except for other student dormitories, I finally got over myself and rode the bike. The first couple hundred meters were woobly like fsk, but I eventually managed. But, oh my god, I was so nervous riding that bike the whole time, my body feels sore from all the tension now xD. I was constantly thinking crap, I'm gonna crash any minute, crap, crapcrapcrap. I didn't in the end, tho =B! *proud*
So! I found this cute little shrine, it's called Ichinoya Yasaka Shrine and it's really cute x3. First shrine visit since coming back.
You need to clean your hands and mouth before making an offering and praying. The little girl on the picture shows you how, it's so cute x3.
Shiisa. I love them so hard.
Also since this is a pretty rural area, the houses are all built in a more traditional style. Kinda neato. Also playground.
Ancient playground lol.
And to give you a feeling of how very much in the middle of nowhere I live now:
There's literally nothing there... or not much anyways.
If you want to find civilization, you have to walk this way down. It's a long and lonely road. xD
MY (T)RUSTY STEED. I named her Lottie. She's really old already, but she kind of has that retro flair already xD.
That's the main entrance of Tsukuba University. Fancy, fancy.
After an about 20 minute long very wobbly bicycle ride, I finally reached a road with a couple of restaurants and shops. Most notably, there was a Book Off. You might have heard of that already, it's a very popular chain store that sells used books, manga, cds and video games. Basically, it's awesome.
Right next to Book Off I found this. I want to go. And I don't even like steak... but BURGER. Unf. (Plus maybe someone should tell them that they can't actually sell Hamburg in their restaurant. I seriously need to do a compilation of all the weird Engrish signs I've already encountered... the ones in our shower room are the best.)
Then, finally in the supermarket, I found this. :D made me feel nostalgic for home. (can you get nostalgic after only one and a half weeks? Idk...)
And here's my Book Off haul x3! Peach Girl 1-3 and Skip Beat 1+2. For 100yen each. Those are manga I've already read and enjoyed in German, so that will hopefully help in understanding the Japanese original xD. I've already started and read the first chapter of Peach Girl... took me only about half an hour for like 30 pages, ugh TwT... ganbaru ne.
Except for the cat treats, I also bought some human food at the supermarket x'D... some inari sushi, some karaage, tangerines, drinks and snacks. SHRIMP CHIPS AND DRIED MINI FISH, YESH.
And my wall is finally not empty anymore!! :DDD!! ... I feel a little sad xD.
