So this week is New Student Week. Which is actually mainly for freshmen, but they can't stop us folks from going. Pretty much, there's a bunch of shows and things. I went to a couple a capella performances and a comedy show the other night. Today there were two major things: A beach party and Kathy Griffin.

At the beach party, basically... we danced. There were some cheesy awesome songs, but mainly hip hop stuff I don't like so much. But there was definitely the macarena and 90s techno dance pop. It's really hard to dance on sand. After that, we went to go see Kathy Griffin. She was pretty hilarious.

First she talked a little about the Bush Administration and Hurricane Katrina, which, I'll admit, her bashing Bush in the beginning was enough to make the entire show good for me. She then talked about Britney and Kevin, and this freaking hilarious interview Kevin did with this magazine. She read it outloud, word for word to us. Wow. Just.. wow. She mentioned that Kathy, Kelly, Katrina, and You auction she did on Ebay, where she auctioned off a ticket to see Kelly Clarkson with her, all proceeds going to Red Cross. When she started saying the story, she was like.. "Okay, I admit it, I love Kelly Clarkson.." and she said it like we were going to laugh at her or something, but actually everyone started cheering and clapping. I thought Lauren would like that. She ended the night with this HILARIOUS but really insane story about Andy Dick in Florida.

At the end, Sameera and I stayed around to see if we could get her to sign our tickets, but she never came out. Or she snuck out, which the people claimed she did. Ah well.

In other Ami news, I believe I got a job. I say "I believe" because I haven't technically gotten it yet. I have to pass a background check and then they'll get me started. I hope they don't find out about all those murders and the drug-induced prostitution with Congress members.
