When life gives you lemons, just say 'Fuck the lemons,' and bail.

Ugh, I ate way too much for lunch and now I feel sick. Someone is having a meeting across the hall, and they had extra food from Corner Bakery Cafe, so they offered us some. Why did I take so much food? And why did I eat all of it?

Now some very brief thoughts on movies, TV and books...

Movies
On Saturday I saw Forgetting Sarah Marshall (heh, I just wrote "saving" instead of "forgetting"). I really, really liked it. I felt like I was laughing throughout the whole movie. Jason Segel was great. Paul Rudd, as always, was awesome and hilarious. I actually think all the actors in the movie did an excellent job. I may sound like a perv, but I was kind of disappointed by the lack of peen (I'm totally serious). It seems like every time someone mentioned the movie, they went and on and on about how much penis was in it. There were only two brief scenes where you saw anything, even though Jason Segel did seem to be naked a lot. Out of all the Apatow movies, this is definitely one of my faves.

After FSM we decided to sneak into Smart People. Eh, it was pretty boring. I couldn't stand Ellen Page's character (I'm sure that was the point). Thomas Haden Church was the best part of the movie.

TV
I finally watched the Torchwood finale. I'm so pissed!

I missed the last 3 or 4 episodes of Brothers and Sisters, and I thought I was just going to give up on the show, but then I watched it again last night. Sometimes I like the show, sometimes I'm bored with it, but I'll probably continue to stick with it. But I don't think I'll bother to watch the episodes I missed.

Lost is back Thursday! Yes!

Books
I read the Jane Austen Book Club this weekend. It was a fast read, and I really got sucked into it. I don't think you necessarily have to be a fan of Jane Austen to enjoy the book. I want to see the movie now. I found that it's available on youtube, but I may just wait and rent it some time. I'm not in any hurry to see it.

I went to Barnes and Noble over the weekend too and bought my boss' birthday gifts. I got her two books - Me Talk Pretty One Day and The Lost Art of Keeping Secrets (it was in the bargain section). I figured I'd get her more light-hearted books after giving her a depressing book last time. I also got her a gift card. It was more than I was originally planning on spending, but she was very generous on my birthday, she bought me a couple of drinks last week during the Cubs outing, and she just recently got me a pretty huge raise (too bad I'll have to wait until July to see it), so I thought I should be more giving.
