There was an earthquake this morning at about 4:37 a.m. It happened in Salem, IL, which is about 275 miles away from where I live. I was dead asleep, so I didn't feel anything. My sister didn't feel it either, but both of my parents did and woke up. My dad said that my mom was kind of out of it and she turned to him and asked, "What are you doing?" He just laughed at her and said it was probably an earthquake. Just minutes ago, things started shaking a bit. I think it was an aftershock. I know I didn't imagine it because Trouble just asked me if I felt it too. This is now the second time that I've "experienced" an earthquake. The other time happened a couple of years ago when I was in college. I was actually at home, but on a break from school. I think it happened a little after 1 a.m. I was sitting at the computer and felt a slight vibration. At the time, I had no idea it was an earthquake. I just thought I was imagining things, but then the next morning it was all over the news. It was similar to the one this morning - it happened far away, but we could feel it just a little.
I should probably get back to work, but later on I'll provide an update on my day yesterday. I went to the Cubs game, but it was basically a day of drinking and not a day of baseball. It was a pretty good day up until the end. I'll have to remember to never again sit in a limo bus full of drunk guys that I don't even know.
