An Update

Yup, it's been awhile since I've updated, but I thought that I should let the few people I have on here know what's going on since I'm finally home for the summer.

Got back into Franklin on Saturday May 21st. It's good to be home.

So this semester was definately interesting. I made so many new friends that I miss so much. I'd love to go back to Platteville, but I know they're not there. Everyone's scattered across the state. We're going to try and get together sometime though. Classes were tough this semester. One of the hardest class combinations there are, so I'm hoping next semester goes a little smoother and I'll be able to pulll the GPA up a little. I'm going to be an RA again in Dobson on 3 South next year also. I'm looking forward to that. I really did enjoy the job. It's tough and thankless sometimes, but the things I learned from it, the people I met and the experiences are priceless. So off to conquer that again. Id on't think I'm done being an RA yet. There's still things I'd like to do. So we'll give it at least one more year.

This summer I'm living at home with just Dad. Stevie and Scott are in Whitewater. It's going to be a little strange. So far, the first week has gone pretty well.

I'm working as an Engineering Intern at the United States Bowling Congress (the big building just across from Southridge). I'm way in the back in the reasearch lab. It's been a blast so far. I started on the 22nd and I have a week in. It's a little intimidating sometimes because I don't fully understand all of the numbers and stuff, but I can ask questions and everone I'm working with are more than willing to help out. It's bowling about 8 hours a day and I love being around that and people who truly love the sport. Basically I'm testing all of the equiptment that comes through to be approved by USBC. I feel really lucky to be surrounded by the people I work with, to be able to learn about the technical side of the game and I'm also lucky to have people who care about me enough to help me get this job. Thansk to Gina and everyone else who put in a good word for me!!

Other than work, there's not a ton going on. Summerfest is something I plan on going to with some friends from school. Already planning on the Kenny Chesney Concert with Andy (one of the residents of Dobson). I've bowled in a few tournaments since I've been home. Havn't performed all that well because I really havn't been bowling much. But this last one Im did so much better. So it'll take time. I'm looking for a place to practice this summer on a semi-regurlar basis because I need to stay on the lanes. I really miss bowling, so it'll be good to get back out there. The tournaments I bowled, I ended up bowling with my Dad, Mr. and Mrs. Michelfelder, Stevie and Scott (for one of them) and Dan. Dan goes to Marquette and bowled on the team there this past semester. He was so much fun to bowl with. And I'm suprised I havn't heard of him before. I know he's from Illinois, but still, the kid can play. So I had a good time getting to know him and he bowled really well. Hopin' that I can get out there and find something else to bowl with him, or at least keep him in mind for other tournaments as another bowler. We'll see. I think there's plans in the works to get a group of bowling people together for a Brewers game or two this summer, so I'm sure we'll throw him into that.

Well, that's for the most part what's been going on here. Hope everyone is well and enjoying the summer. Currently the project is to clean up and put away all my stuff from school. Sounds like fun huh??
