Goodbye 2011, hello 2012!
2011
A year of ups and downs but not as much ups and downs as in 2010. 2011 was quite nice, went to some great concerts, met lovely people and passed some very important courses at university. Courses i never thought I could pass, I'm really proud of that. especially my statistics-courses, only 30 percent of the people who take that course pass it the first time. And I was one of them *retrospective victory dance*
Now I want to talk about some of the highlights of 2011. I went to some great concerts last year. My favorites are: White Lies, Mars (Pinkpop + Lille), Hollywood Undead, Good Charlotte, Glamour of the kill and just Lowlands in general.
I also met some great people, one of them is Nicole, she's just awesome. She has bright red hair and was at almost every gig i've ever been to. I never really spoke to hear because of some rumors and stuff. I can't regret that more. She's one of the most awesome people I've ever met! She cares so much about other people and is just a nice person to be around. And none of those rumors turned out to be true anyways. Unfortunately she's getting fired at Fame because they move to a way smaller location. Honestly they don't know what they're missing. She always makes me buy things xD I hope she can get a nice new job, she's got a lot of (visible) tattoos, therefore its just really hard for her to get hired somewhere. The Netherlands always portrays itself as the most tolerable country ever but that's so far form true!
New year's eve was nice, I just stayed at petten with my family. Everyone was asking why I didn't go out or sth, I just like being with my grandparents I hardly ever see them and you can't really go out in Petten. One bar was open, but I would rather die than go there :') I actually had a lot of fun, we watched 'ik hou van holland' and some other shows on television then we went outside to wish everyone a happy new year. It was one of those perfect evenings, in a sense that the air was so fresh and it wasn't cold at all! after that we had some drinks with the neighbors, then my parents and grandparents went to bed. I stayed up and watched Black Swan, IT WAS AMAZING! It was wonderful, creepy, depressive and beautiful everything I want and expect from a Darren Aronofsky film. Man, I love that man! I want to see it over and over again. And like I said on facebook: well done Mr. Aronofsky for putting some very subtle references to requiem for a dream in Black swam *very deep bow to you sir!* if you haven;t seen it yet: shame on you! go watch it! It's most incredible! all and all it was a beautiful evening I'd much rather have this than being in some very warm building where everyone's sweating, with horrible music and fighting people.

2012 is going to be the year in which I get my (first) degree at university. After I get I get my degree you will have to call me 'bachelor of (communication)science' which sounds ridiculous. I still think of 'bachelor' in the context of a single man who a lot of women want to date. I'm not sure I want to be called that ;)
It will also be the year in which I will, hopefully, go to a lot of concerts. The once i've got already planned: Asking Alexandria (27 jan, my birthday!), Alesana, glamour of the kill, we came as romans, iwreseldabearonce (2 feb), The maine & deaf havana (8 feb), Enter shikari + Young guns (maybe, 10 mar), Black veil brides + D.R.U.G.S. (23 mar) & Lowlands of course (17, 18, 19 aug) !
My birthday is also coming up, I'll be 21 on January the 27. OMG, I'll be insanely old! Just kidding ;) but I do feel that time is flying. Can someone stop time please? I just wanna be a kid again/still. I'm kinda sad that already a lot of people cancelled for my bday party, but hopefully it will be fun anyways :D
