Belated birthday greetings!
Yesterday was missmurchison's birthday! I was out of pocket but sincerely hope that it was a good one. As a token of my undying gratitude for both her very fine fic and for inspiring me to write in the first place (shout out to haiku master Mr. M!), I wanted to do a sweet, romantic birthday photo shoot with doll!Spike and doll!Buffy.
Towards that end, I got them out at bedtime last night and asked them to brainstorm tableau ideas while I slept. I woke up in the pre-dawn hours and checked in to see what they'd come up with, only to find them in a domestic situation that I imagine is all too common in these modern times.
*sigh* By the time I got up for the day, Spike was asleep, and Buffy was awake and disgusted enough with his growing internet addiction to declare that she had no intention of delivering anything like camera-friendly smoochies today. I tried to offer comfort by assuring her that at least he was reading quality fic, but she was less than appreciative. *whispers* It may be time for me to invest in a doll-sized punching bag; a Slayer's patience is not boundless, and she hits hard.
Thanks heavens I had a little somethin' somethin' saved up for a rainy day . . .
