Wow...just....wow
So it's hot around here. I mean hot. And any of you schmucks who think that living in Washington automatically equals lots of rain and cloud covers, well, you fail. EPIC FAIL. I live in a desert folks. Rain? What the hell is that? Is that what keeps the dust from flying about? But that is a mythical phenomenon that only happens when the natives do the rain dance! It's only 92 today, but it's only going to get hotter as the weekend wears on. Because relatively cool weather during the Water Follies is impossible.

forgotten_relic is crashing with me this weekend, since there's not enough space at her brother's or her grandparents. This is why I have a guest room - you never know when someone needs to crash. This also means that I get to spend some time hanging out with my adopted sister, when she isn't working the Water Follies. I'm planning on hitting up the Allied Arts Show, which is a massive collection of artisans selling their work. There are photographers, painters, sculptors, jewelry makers, and other crafty people. I've bought stuff there before, mostly for my kitchen (spoon rest, spoon holder). I'm hoping to maybe pick up some more things there, perhaps one of the funky mugs by the same artist who made the spoon rest and spoon holder.
Of course, looking at the allied arts show, I wonder if my friends and I could get a booth and sell out works. I could sell prints of my photos, as could
forgotten_relic , while travellyr sells her ceramic stuff (she does some pretty amazing things with clay), and
sideshow_ericka could sell her drawings and paintings (or at least prints of them). Then all we need is for Infernal Shenanigans (chaosblue and irksnapple ) to set up a booth next to us and we will reign over the Allied Arts Show! \o/
