 I am working on my first cabled scarf, which is of a nice red and brown merino wool.  It's super soft, and I am very fond of it.  It seems to be coming along nicely, although, like most scarves, I feel as though it's taking forever.  But I'm almost through the first ball of wool.

In honor of this pretty new yarn, I have joined Ravelry.  It is lavender with all sorts of colors threaded through it, and I want to make something gorgeous and awesome from it.  And I'm not that good at knitting, so I really want to get better.

It is extremely cold today, although it will be warmer tomorrow.  There is fresh snow outside.  We've had snow more or less constantly since last week, although I think it's done for now.  With the coming warm temperatures the snow will start to look grungy and old.  It's always such a shame when the snow turns dirty and gray.  At least, sometimes ( Read more... )

It has been quite a while since I last posted here. The last time was to celebrate a draft, which was the first piece I had finished in quite some time.
