Summary: It's Jake's turn to be in denial.
A/N: The story is based off of the poem like thing that I wrote!
I fight to get you out of my mind.
But you refuse to leave.
Every where I look,
You seem to be.
Edgar didn't love Jake, at least, Edgar didn't love Jake like Jake loved Edgar. So, Jake was trying to rid Edgar from his mind, which was easier said than done, well, easier thought than done. It didn't help that Jake was stuck out in the Bering Sea, on a boat, and it seemed, always by Edgar. At one point, Jake thought Edgar knew how he felt, because it seemed that Edgar was every where Jake was, even if Edgar was suppose to be some where else. That really freaked Jake out. If Edgar knew how Jake felt, that could end badly. What if Edgar told Sig and Sig kicked him off the boat because he was in love with Edgar!
"Hey, Junior!" Edgar's voice pulled Jake away from his thoughts. "You plan on helping us or just standing there staring at the crabs."
"Sorry." Jake shook his head and returned to sorting the crabs.
Edgar just rolled his eyes and went back to his job.
Once those crabs were in the tanks, they were done with that string, which meant that they had an hour till the next string started again. Jake pushed the final crab into the tank and headed inside, away from the other crab fishermen, namely away from Edgar Hansen.
"Junior!" Damn! So close.
The others walked past Jake, smirks on a few of their faces. They knew something, and Jake was scared as to what it was.
Jake jumped when he felt a hand on his shoulder. "Hey." His voice was a little shaky. Jake tried to calm his heart as he turned to face the youngest Hansen brother. What happened next took Jake by surprise. In the short time it took Jake to look up at Edgar, Edgar had placed his hands on either side of Jake's face, and had pulled Jake's lips to his. It was over too quickly. Edgar just smiled and placed a kiss to the top of Jake's head. "Everyone but Sig knows."
As Edgar walked away, laughing, Jake's thoughts had time to catch up with him, Everyone but Sig knows.. Jake wanted to scream. How did the others find out? He thought he was doing a good job of hiding how he really felt about Edgar.
"Oh, and Junior." Edgar reappeared by the door. "Only Sig knows I love you too."
