Today Marissa, Dan and I went down to Tukwila and waited three hours for the privilege of visiting the REI garage sale. I walked away with a pair of ski boots and skis1. this is neat. but the rug (click on the flock of sheep on the right)...i could never knit a rug. every time someone stood on it i'd be yelling "do you know how long it took me to make that??" i don't know if i could ever wear anything i made...although after skiing yesterday, i think i really need to learn how to make socks. not just any socks ( Read more... )

i should add that earlier, that morning, i'd made a stray comment about how fucked i'd be if i lost my glasses. and dan had just said "this hill is wide open, there's nothing to hit, you'd have to try hard to hurt yourself."

so we went skiing and i did two runs, and then promptly did something sprainlike to my ankle and spent the rest of the day hanging out in ski patrol with my leg up and iced. which ended up being a short day because brian lost his glasses and we thought perhaps we should all go home before somebody died ( Read more... )
