Firehorse progress report
Right now my main character wouldn't wee on me if I was on fire. And she's a fire fighter.
Yesterday I plunged her into a pit of black despair by having her fired from her job. Today, her ex-workmates turned against her and she had to be rescued by armed temple guards. I did give her some moral support from an unexpected quarter, but I'm thinking of pulling that back for another chapter so that she has to stand up for herself in the depths of her worst moment.
I've been studying the works of my dear friend jmeadows, the vorpal bunny writer, who often gives a red shirt death tally for her day's writing. I think she is starting to rub off on me *evil g*
