Calls have been made for Barack Obama to mark his inauguration as US president by creating his own tartan.

Hello all.
My latest kilt creation - and my first in wool fabric.  The photo below is of the Boston guy I made the kilt for. He is Master of Whisky and brand ambassador for one of the largest Scotch breweries in the world.  The tartan is called the Chattahoochee tartan - commissioned by the City of Roswell, GA just before the '96  Olympics.

Don't laugh.

I'm getting a Chattahoochee Memorial Tartan to make, well, a kilt or rather two kilts*. The name is for real.
It was approved by the Mayor of Roswell, GA to commemorate the twinning of the Rivers Tweed and Chattahoochee in 1993.

It is a pretty pattern.

This is my first attempt at using a tartan fabric (polyviscose fabric ~5 yds).  I think I like it!
