Eeeee! I got my first batch of Atomic Luau decants! So exciting! Well, if you're a perfume nut, it's exciting at any event. You'd think hey, good, right? Sandalwood, vetiver? Two big faves. The neroli kills it dead, as in "do not want" dead, not "ded" dead. Smells like big piles of dust. The only thing tormented is my nose.

Youngest Daughter picked this one out:
Spicy mulled wine flowing through the musky heat, warm leather and bright clash of armor, the damp branches of Cornish hawthorn, blackthorn, juniper, English elm and bayberry, and the magical tingle of dragon's blood resin.

Before the Finger: I got my box of goodies from Twilight Alchemy Lab! It contained my Hand of Hermes conjure bag, and bottles of Hymn to Pan and Hand of Hermes. yay! The conjure bag is orange and smells FABULOUS. I just want to hold it all the time. It's sitting right now on my altar.

Yesterday's Osun was still lingering this morning when I got up! And it smelled pretty good! The hubby agreed.

Today the Finger picked out El Dia de Reyes, a limited edition from Yule:

Hot cocoa with cinnamon, coffee, and brown sugar.

Wet: Bitter almond. ick.

Dry: Ooh! Coffee and cocoa and pastries! mmmmm....

I hope she does this again next year.

Usually I like the sweet BPALs. I love the honey notes. And so Osun sounded promising:

thick with honey and herbs of love, passion and desire.

Wet: Sadly, no. It's overwhelmingly, overwhelmingly sweet. oof, hypoglycemia...clouding...super perfume powers...
