April Showers Bring...

Apr 27, 2007 14:10

I can't believe this is my last day at West for the month.  Where did April go?  It's been rainy and cold the majority of the month and I'm hoping for a change in May.   Who am I kidding?  I'm hoping for a change TOMORROW!  It's the start of a three day weekend.  Then I have school on Tuesday and then I'm off for the rest of the week.  Golden Week, isn't really a week, but it is truly golden.

So I need to finish my art project and I need to clean because Mark's parents are coming on Sunday, and I won't have time to work on the show, and I'm having a bbq on Monday so I need a clean house.  What a run on sentence!  Deal.  So let's see, the schedule:

Saturday: Possible early onsen (for tanning purposes), gym, cleaning, show prep
Sunday: Cleaning, gym?, show prep, dinner with Mark's parents
Monday: BBQ for Mark's Mum's Birthday
Tuesday: School at East
Wednesday: Driving around the Izu peninsula, hopefully stopping off at the beach somewhere if weather permits
Thursday: Train to Yokohama, explore Yokohama
Friday: Kamakura/Enoshima
Saturday: Yokohama and back to Yamanashi
Sunday: My art show opens
Monday: Back to school

And there you have it.  The reason that I probably won't be writing for awhile!  :)

Life is good though.  West hasn't had me pulling my hair out this month and for that I am grateful.  I don't know what happened really, if it's just because I am leaving, or if it's the new teachers or what.  But it's not bad at all here, and at times it's even fun.  I'm glad I'll have a few good months here before I leave, so I can look back on my years here positively.  My kids are pretty upset that I'm leaving, which is touching.  I'll miss them, though maybe not right away!

Guess that's it, get ready for fun new photos of our travels.
