Name:ldyanne, also known as Lady Anne
Team: War!

Let's talk about:ldyanne!

1. How long have you been writing fan fiction? I began writing fan fiction that I’ve shared with other people in 2002. But I wrote fanfiction way back when I was in high school where I wrote stories for the Original Star Trek. I didn’t know it was fanfiction then. Fortunately those notebooks are lost forever!
2. Have you participated or are you participating in any other fandoms? I began writing in SG-1 when the news came out about Daniel Jackson's fate on SG-1. My first story was a fix it of sorts for 'Meridian.' I’ve been happily writing ever since. I dabbled a little in NCIS, but case fic is HARD, so I moved on pretty quickly to Atlantis where I’ve been happily writing for several years now.
3. What fanwork are you most proud of? Or, what is your favourite of your fanworks? (links, please!) I think my favorite fics are the ones written from Rodney’s POV. There’s just something that’s so freeing when the character you’re writing doesn’t have an internal filter. I’ll be writing something as internal dialogue and then realize, “Oh, Rodney would actually SAY that out loud!” *happy sigh* I love writing Rodney fic. I think my favorite Rodney fic is a crack fic written for a kissing meme - True Love’s Kiss - which oddly enough is a story where Rodney only has one or two spoken lines.
4. As far as creative processes go, what type of writer/artist are you? Do you create an outline/find photo references/make maps, etc., or do you jump in and go with the flow? Usually I have a scene in mind that’s so vivid I have to write it down. Then I build the story around that. When I started writing I just wrote whatever the muse gave me, in whatever order. These days I usually have a working outline with a couple of sentences for each scene in the order I think the story will go. If I get a scene out of order, I’ll write it and put it where it needs to go in the outline. But I’ve become much more of a linear writer over time with the story politely coming in order. Well, mostly ;-)
5. Where can interested readers/viewers find more of your work? (homepage, LJ fic index, etc.) All of my Atlantis fic can be found on Wraithbait
6. Do you write original fiction (poetry, screenplays)? Do you create original art (comics, photographs, quilts, wedding cakes)? Care to share? I have written scripts for the local ren fest, but those are more of a visual thing. Along those lines, I’ve made a costume or two.
7. How are you so awesome? I love getting to cheerlead for writers in the guise of beta reading. I think it's the frustrated cheerleader-wannabee in me.

Let's talk about: SGA!

8. What do you enjoy most about SGA and/or SGA fandom? The awesome writers! Whether it be episode or series related, crack fic, AUs, whatever - the fic in this fandom is the best! Also? Did I mention the AUs. Someone else said this, too, but it’s true, the characters on SGA aren’t limited by the show. You can recognize them in any situation. I love reading John and Rodney in any situation and setting.
9. Why do you ship McKay/Sheppard? What draws you to the pairing, what do you like and dislike? Favourite scenes or episodes? Quotes? Screencaps? What other SGA pairings do you ship? I was drawn to the fandom because of the fic and the friendship between John and Rodney. I started reading gen fic, but my favorite stories were always the ones with strong John and Rodney friendship. Then when I started watching the show in season 2, you could just see that John and Rodney were meant for each other. They fight and bicker, but they’re always there for each other. My other favorite pairing is Lorne/Zelenka based solely on the episode “The Game.” They are just so cute in that!
10. Why did you choose to join Team War? Well, I could say that I was trying to challenge myself, because I tend to write light, fluffy stories and I wanted to challenge myself to write something darker and more dramatic. But really? It was seeing thatlavvyanwas the team captain that made my decision which team I wanted to be on.
11. C'mon, you know you wanna! Just a bit of squee about your Match fic? [good example: 'very proud of my second scene' / bad example: 'When Rodney kisses John after they find out the butler did it'.] Sadly enough, no squee at the moment. But my fic *is* kind of cracky. I love crack fic!
12. What are your 'tells'? How can a fic of yours be spotted in the wild? (again, go ahead and make origami out of the truth!) I’ve been thinking about this one and I don’t really think I have any tells. (If I do, someone share!) I do like to take twists on themes. For example for an AMTDI fic I wrote - Rituals - John and Rodney had to nap together.

Okay, I’ve rambled as much as I can, it’s back to work on my fic!
