I salute you linear writers... outside of PWPs and the occasional short fic that presents itself fully formed, I just can't do it. I can put my scenes together in order, just not write them that way. ;)
Good luck in finishing your fic! *scrambles back to her own*
Linear writing is something I have to work really hard about. Stories still insist on coming in bits and pieces that aren't really connected. But I've gotten better about just getting the gist of what I want inserted in my 'outline' and continuing. It does make it easier to stitch the pieces together when I get to it if I haven't written an entire scene, if that makes any sense at all. *grins*
I have to be really careful because I could spend all of my time reading fics (I have 267 fics in my 'need to read' file) and no time writing!!
I've never been interested in AUs before Atlantis. I tried reading them because I didn't want to dismiss them out of hand, but they never kept my interest. Most of my favorite Atlantis fic are AUs!
*eyes my typo* I tend to make that one when I've been writing all day. *fails at life* I do that, too. I'll be like "just read this little thing" and four hours later...
I didn't think about it when I wrote that, but I've become better in the sense that when I started writing, I had one fic where I wrote the final scene first. I have gotten to the point where I write a semi-sorta outline now and that helps me keep the fic organized and helps with continuity.
Your fics are awesome! If your method of 'jumping around writing bits here and there,' creates those awesome fic, I say do what works for you! If it works, don't fix it!

There is some sort of fan fic induced time warp, cause I'll lose whole weekends reading fic!

They really were. Such a shame that we got so little screentime of those two together overall.

I admire your discipline. I've actually become worse about the jumping around writing bits here and there. :-D
