It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood...

As much as I have always had a disdain, even as a young child, for Mr. Rogers and his programming, I have to say that I simply can't disagree with his chipper tagline. It has been a beautiful few days actually. This weekend was great because it was actually a productive one in the eyes of academia in addition to a good bit of fun here and there. I got to meet some new people from the church that I am studying for my Field Research class, and people can just be so friendly sometimes. I love the fact that I finally feel as though I'm genuinely involved with something and getting a "hands-on" type experience instead of merely sitting in the library reading some text that was written by hoity-toities who just want to impress their other hoity-toity friends. Ok, I know that is a complete overgeneralization of scholars, and it is, in essence, quite untrue in many cases, but I think I just wanted an excuse to say hoity-toity, which I have 3 times now. Life is good :)

Until next Wednesday, my life is going to be constantly on the go, in a variety of ways, and I am super excited! I'm sure by the end of it, I'll be dragging my feet and probably wandering around campus in a dazed/hypnotic state, but I am up for the challenge! I can't wait until my lovely ladies visit this Friday, which, I guarantee will not be lacking in hilarity, ridiculousness, and Neil! Oh, and I hope you girlies are feeling extra carnivorous because Heather moved the dresser the other day only to find my long lost MeatLoaf double disk cd. Jackpot! Add fun times to finals, meetings, more church, last minute homework assignments, papers, and going home (hopefully to see the man of my dreams), and I'm certainly going to get my money's worth out of the next few days. Like I said, this week is going to be an intense ride on the Insano-coaster, but I've scoped out the heights, buckled my seatbelt, and taken a couple spoonfulls of Dramamine, so BRING IT ON!
