Well, one of my dreams since I was 12 years old came true this week. No, I didn't walk on the moon or rescue a drowning baby (those dreams are for wimps). I did something much greater. I SAW CONAN!!! That's right. On Thursday my rain-soaked, wind-blown, very sleepy eyes physically witnessed the actual Conan Christopher O'Brien. Yes, it was just as glorious as you can imagine...even more. Everything really was perfect. Lucky for me, Katelin and Murph had gotten there earlier and successfully got themselves standby tickets before the lil' bro and I even got there with our e-mail tickets. Good work girls! So they found us and let us stand up a bit in line with them. Thank you again for that my Conan Chicas! Seriously though, the show was just magical. There was one point (during the polka lady) that he started dancing (correction: flailing) around the stage, and I knew that this day would be one of the highlights of my life. I'm going to tell this story to all of your grandkids, so you'd better all have grandkids, just so this story can live on. If not, I'll probably just tell it to some random kid on the street and then shove his twisty cone in his face. I know that he'll pass it on then, hopefully without expletives (thanks for the Dane Katelin ;)
Then, my girlies came up on Friday, and that was just fabulous! It was so nice to all be together again. A little preview of the the next few months perhaps? :) Oh, but we still welcome others, so my fellow wiffleballers, please join us in the summer festivities. The visit was great, but poor Katelin is probably painfully roosting upon a donut pillow, due to the hilarious/horrible/tailbone-breaking spill down the stairs in one of the other dorms. Conan, the fall, my girls visiting...so many great memories as of late. Thanks everyone!
Well, now it's time to get down to biz-nez. Obviously, by that statement, I'm certainly not too cool for school. Ergo, most everyone else is out for the summer and I still have 4 papers to write and about 4 days in which to do it. And yes, Will, that "ergo" was just for you. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
See you all soon! :)
