What can I say? Life is...good :) Easter Break was a nice little recharge, and this past week was quite a busy one, but busy doesn't always have to be bad. Generally speaking, when it's busy, that means things are getting done, and when things are getting done, that is usually accompanied by a sense of accomplishment, and a sense of accomplishment typically makes me feel like I'm actually doing something besides just putzing around and taking up space. My train of thought makes a nice little loop back around, and I love loops, especially when they go back around. Ok, that was completely unnecessary and actually to the point of being obnoxious, so I apologize to all you delightful readers, but even the recognition of my abhorrent rhetoric can't take me out of my good mood :)
Adding pleasant pigment to my rose-tinted glasses that I seem to be wearing this week is the fact that I can actually breathe comfortably again. Apparently, my chronic illness that I have had this entire school year is largely due to a case of advanced allergies that was not being properly addressed. And by "not being properly addressed" I mean that I was doing absolutely nothing about them except letting then run rampant and make me look like a diseased street urchin. Needless to say, I was given a miracle product known as a nasal spray, which has really just changed my life. I can actually smell things now! Well, some things. As many of you already know, my sense of smell had pretty much vanished due to my "Niagara Falls of Flem," as my nurse/practitioner so professionally and might I say eloquently put it. Strangely though, most of the things that I have been able to smell haven't exactly been the most enjoyable. For example, the other day I could have sworn that there was dogfood hidden in my dorm room somewhere, because the scent was almost overpowering. Then, later that day, I could not believe how repulsively some of the foods that I had been nonchalantly eating the whole year reeked of disgustingness. Regardless, I would still rather take a putrid smell or two over no smelling at all. Seriously though, my quality of life has remarkably improved. Who would have guessed that by shooting something up your nose, it could bring such amazing effects? I can see why so many people love cocaine now. If it's even half as good as nasal spray, you can bet I'd be hooked in a hot minute.
And I just want to say really quick thanks to our dear Mr. Bournas, who let me use his super awesome $80,000 camera AND accompanied me to the church and helped me take pictures with the assistance of the charming Ms. Scudder. Thanks guys!
I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!!! :)
