Well, basically anything imaginable that could have gone wrong this week did. I'm pretty sure that if I soaked myself in gasoline and then danced wildly around a bonfire the situation couldn't get much worse. Ok, maybe I'm exaggerating a little (or a lotta), but this has still been the week from hell. I do know that I have plenty to be thankful for, but things just keep not working out this week, and then I keep screwing up little things too on top of the other stuff. For example, within the past 24 hours, I have somehow managed to spill a full glass of water that was placed on my desk 3 different times. For the first occurrence, I actually knocked the whole flippin thing into my open drawer, which unavoidably soaked all of my stationary, index cards, and various papers. Then, I couldn't sleep last night, so in the wee small hours of the morning I ventured to my computer. Apparently, just because I couldn't sleep doesn't mean that my hand-eye coordination was 100%. Ergo, I knocked the glass over onto my bookbag and the floor. Needless to say, the carpet is still rather damp, and I have already had to dispose of some socks in the meantime. Then, just now, I was just getting ready to do some homework, and I suppose I figured that the third time's a charm, so I knocked the same re-filled glass over...again. Of course, I had not learned from my lesson from my previous incidences of clutzery, so my desk had loads of papers, dishes, electronic devices, and whatnot sprawled about on it. Perhaps, the moral of these similar stories is that I need to take more precautionary steps. I doubt that I'll be receptive to that lesson, but I guess it's for the best that these minor screw-ups keep happening because then it takes my mind temporarily off bigger things. I'm just looking really forward to being home where things will hopefully get better. Have a great Easter everyone!
