Can someone please tell me why all of a sudden my thermostat has been behaving strangely?

I was literally on the floor laughing. You guys are awesome. CRAZY but awesome.

Whilst I truly appreciate how much better it is to have sharp knives for cooking, and am really glad I finally got a decent sharpener... I cut my finger rather badly Friday night, just between the nail and knuckle. Not a terrible place to get cut, admittedly, but I couldn't get it to stop bleeding for almost 20 minutes.
