Mythbuster acknowledge AR15.com on the POAT myth?
So in all my amusement last night with the Plane on a Treadmill episode of Mythbusters and watching the storm of excuse form the still unbelievers on AR15.com's forums someone on the forum posted proof that the Mythbusters actually silently acknowledge the AR15.com forum as (a major) part of the storm of controversy on the internet. During the introduction of the myth Adam makes a verbal comment about the controversy on both the Mythbusters fan forum and the internet that has surrounded this myth. Well apparently on the large blue print table where the Mythbusterer draw out the initial premise (in silver marker on dark blue paper to look like an old fashion blue print) of the myth and discuss how they are going to tackle it there are AR-15 parts on the table. The table is usually cluttered with stuff, some of which is related to the myth, and some is just junk laying around Jamie's shop. Well if the screen grab is creditable (I didn't notice this when I was watch the episode but will be sure to look for it when I watch reruns) there are AR-15 parts on the blue print table.

It is sort of tough to make out but there is definitely a barrel assembly of an AR-15 carbine and a 30rd magazine on the table. There is also possible a bolt carrier, and a butt stock but I am less certain about those parts. The picture is not a very good screen capture. The only reason I make note of this is because I remember the first to fire storm threads on this subject at AR-15.com. They were amazingly heated and eventually, after several thousand posts, locked. Also I cannot remember a single gun myth that the Mythbuster have tacked (and there have been many) where the Mythbusters use an AR-15 as part of the myth. This further enforces the idea the parts presence on the blue print table was a silent nod.
