17. Thank you stars
Some call it faith, some call it love,
Some call it guidance from above.
You are the reason we found ours,
So thank you stars!
Three weeks have passed and I still can’t believe I got Calliope back. We spent every day and every night with one another. She had those three weeks off since she normally would have been in her honeymoon with Kate. I still feel kinda bad for her. She’s a nice woman and she got hurt pretty badly. But though I feel sorry for her, her loss is my win. And I can’t help feeling like the happiest person in the world. Calliope chose me. I feel complete again. To hold her in my arms. To kiss her. To sleep next to her, feeling her warmth in my back. To wake up next to her. To watch her sleep and be the first one to look into her eyes when she opens them. That’s what I live for! And to have that back is the greatest thing that could’ve happened!
Some people think it’s far away,
Some know it’s with them everyday.
You are the reason we found ours,
So thank you stars!
Right now I’m lying on a blanket in a lonely corner of our park propped up on my ellbow and watch her sleep. Her hair is sprawled about her jacket, which is currently funtioning as a pillow. A lonely strain lies over her face. Her full lips are slightly parted. Her big brown eyes are still hidden behind closed eyelids. I memorize every inch of her face which is lighten up by the moon shining down on us. She’s so beautiful! And she’s mine! Her eyes flutter open. She focuses her vision and locks eyes with me. I smile.
,,Welcome back, sunshine!’’ I whisper and place a light kiss on her lips. ,,Took you long enough!’’
,,Hm …’’ she mumbles and pulls me down for another kiss. I open my mouth lightly and trace my tongue over her lips. She whimpers and opens her mouth. I climb on top of her and straddle her hips. When we pull apart she smiles at me.
,,That’s a nice way to spend a picnic!’’ Calliope whispers softly. I smile mischievous.
,,You have no idea!’’ I replie and lean in again.
To some it’s the strength to be apart,
To some it’s a feeling in the heart.
And when you’re out there on your own
It’s the way back home!
I lie on top of her exhausted from our previous lovemaking. She looks absolutely sate but she has a smile plastered on her face.
,,I love you!’’ she whispers.
,,I love you, too!’’ I replie. ,,Come on, let’s get dressed. It’s cold.’’ We both get up and take on our clothes. Then she sits down again with her back to a tree. I lie down and place my head in her lap. She runs her fingers through my hair while we watch the stars and the moon. The sky is totally clear. The wind is lightly caressing our skin. The leaves are falling down around us. It’s such a magic moment. Time seems to stand still. It’s just her and me. Nothing else exists. In our save place.
There are no winds
That can blow it away on the air.
When they try to blow it away is when you know
It will always be there!
We remain in this position for a long time until my eyes close. I’m so tired. So exhausted. Calliope suddenly gets up and carefully lifts me in her arms.
,,What are you doing?’’ I ask half asleep.
,,I’m taking you home, honey!’’ she replies and kisses my forehead. I’m too tired to argue with her to let me down so I wrap my arms around her and bury my head in the crook of her neck. I feel so safe in her arms as she carries me to her car and carefully positions me on the seat.
,,I’ll be back in a minute.’’ She whispers softly and heads back to get the blanket and the rest of our picnic, but I don’t really realise when she comes back. I’m already fast asleep.
When I wake up I’m already lyng in our bed. I still have my clothes on and I can hear the shower through the closed door. I quickly take off my clothes and slip under the comforter. The only thing I remember after that is how Calliope climbed in bed behind me and wrapped her arms around me to hold me through the night. Finally I’m home!
