16. When you kiss me
This could be it, I think I’m in love, it’s love this time,
It just seems to fit, I think I’m in love, this love is mine.
I can see you with me when I’m older,
All my lonely nights are finally over!
You took the weight of the world off my shoulders.
The world just goes away!
She pulls back a bit and looks into my eyes. A smile tugs at the corners of her mouth. I’m too confused to smile or do anything else. What the hell is happening here?
,,I couldn’t marry Kate.’’ Calliope whispers. ,,I’m in love with you!’’
Did I hear her right? Did she really just say what I think she said?
,,Arizona, I love you!’’ I smile.
,,I love you, too!’’ I replie and pull her down again. When our lips meet I finally realise what just happened. We’re back together! Can this be real? She’s mine again? I run my tongue over her lips and she opens her mouth. Our tongues meet. This kiss is full of love, need and passion. I sit up without leaving her mouth and guuide her to sit next to me. I straddle her legs and wrap my arms around her neck. I don’t know how long we sit there in the rain making out like teenagers. When I pull back I look into her eyes. She smiles at me. I rest my forehead against hers. I have her!

,,How did you find me?’’ I ask her silently.
,,I knew you’d be here.’’ She answers. ,,When I got out of this church and spotted your car still in the parking lot I guessed that you had run away. Then I remembered that this park was near and I just went here. I remembered that you called this park our park the other day.’’ She smiles.
,,You still remember that?’’I ask surprised. ,,After all this time?’’
,,I remember everything!’’ she answers. I smile before kissing her once again. I still feel like I’m dreaming. Like this is not real. I almost fear I’m gonna wake up and be alone again. But then I feel her near me, her arms around my waist and I know she’s really here. A few minutes ago I just wanted to stop breathing to ease the pain and now I have her back and I feel like I couldn’t be happier!

I know I’m gonna be with you forever!
Love couldn’t be any better!
,,Let’s go home, honey.’’ I say. ,,We’re soaking wet … Ok, that came out wrong!’’ We both laugh.
..You’re right, let’s go home!’’ Calliope says afte we both calmed down. I get up and hold out my hand. She smiles and takes it. While we walk back to my car in silence a thought crosses my mind.
,,Tomorrow’s gonna be really hard.’’ I whisper. ,,You blew up your wedding.’’ She shakes her head.
,,No, today has been hard! To walk out there and tell everyone that I want to be with you. To look into Kate’s eyes and tell her that I love you more. To tell her that I chose you.’’ She replies. ,,That was hard!’’ I nod. The rest of the way we remain silent. But as soon as we reach my car we get in and start making out again. I never had sex in a car but I guess that’s gonna change soon.

,,Me too, me too!’’ I whisper before I drift off to sleep.
