So this week, I've had the opportunity to watch some movies (nothing spoilery);

Summer in Sydney is really lovely; I love the mid-20s temps, the cool breezes at night, the sun for swimming ... and that's what I've been doing. Keeping busy socially by joining clubs and meeting new friends and trying to swim as much as I can ( Read more... )

So I went to see the NYE fireworks in North Sydney but I was late and they'd closed the gates!!! Fortunately they reopened them and I managed to dash through... this year, derry667 and I were joined by tipper_green and her parents. What a treat.

It's too early to be up... or too early to not have gone to bed but I've got some packing and stuff to do because I have to go to Tokyo today and I'll be at a work conference next week in Chiba....

Me and some friends drove to Nagano and visited Jigokudani Yaen Koen aka Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park and Onsen. It snowed a lot, the path to walk uphill to the park was very treacherous (lots of ice and snow) but the view was absolutely gorgeous.
