One of the few Republicans I've had an inkling of respect for since the Clinton impeachment is switching parties.  Senator Arlen Spector of Pennsylvania is changing sides.  He's always been one of the most moderate Republicans.  And I've appreciated him (if not often agreed with him) since he voted "Not Proven" during the Clinton Impeachment.  He's a former procecutor and he knew that those idiots didn't prove that Clinton was guilty of an impeachable offense... while also believing that Clinton was guilty of an impeachable offense.  While I didn't agree with him, I had to believe that he voted as he felt and not just because he was following the party line (something he doesn't do on a regular basis.)

If the Franken win in MN holds out, that'll be a philibuster proof majority.  Hummm
