Summary: I decided to start running in August (brilliant), so I'm especially proud to say that I stuck with it really well - only missed one planned run all month. I only made it to three kayak polo practices, a bit of short of my goal of six, but that's still better than I've done in quite a while. I slacked on yoga at the beginning (mostly because I was waiting for my gym to sort out why they were charging me for classes they shouldn't have), but I picked it back up in the latter half of the month. I've been really good about stretching after running, but not after kayaking. I'd really like to swim more, but I'm having trouble fitting it in.
I have until the end of September to decide if I want to end my gym contract early (since the pools are closed permanently, they've given us the option of canceling our memberships without penalty). I'm leaning toward canceling ... swimming was one of the main reasons I joined and, although I like their yoga classes, they ones that fit my scheduled are not included free with my level of membership, so overall I think it would be cheaper to pay for yoga on its own, either there or somewhere else. I've really been enjoying the efficiency of running - I exercise myself and Riley at the same time - so yoga is about the only reason I've been at the gym anyway.
Goals for September: Stick with running (three times a week) and yoga (one to two times a week). Go to at least four kayak polo practices. Swim?
