I wish the world was flat like the old days, then I could travel just by folding a map.

Well, it's the arbitrary first day of an arbitrary year after it has hit an arbitrary definition of midnight. I suppose the day means something to me though, since it is one of the few days I am fairly consistent about writing something on the livejournal. Not that I relate to it emotionally, of course; it's always a mere rational, mathematical approach to the arbitrary numbers that define our calender. So here we go.

Despite being divisible by 9, 2007 consisted of the same old Mage. 2008 is in the same position as the previous year because it is another number that is more interesting than something only divisible by something boring like 2 or 3, but not interesting enough to be divisible by something cool like 13 or being prime or a palindrome.

So yeah, what I'm trying to say is 2008 will be basically the same as 2007 because it's divisible by the non-boring, non-interesting 8. Also by 251, which sounds cool, but really that's just a byproduct of being divisible by 8.

Same old Mage never applies the lessons he has learned.
