Yesterday I posted my
Gherkin print from my Tall London series. Even though I have five planned, I have only managed to do two so far. I need to sit down and apply to jobs like crazy so it will be a while before I find the time to do the rest.
The second one I've done is The Shard. A rather new building, but one that was iconic before it was even built!
I think the Shard pretty much speaks for itself, thankfully, because I am dropping with exhaustion.
Some close-ups.
The Shard, also referred to as the Shard of Glass, Shard London Bridge and formerly London Bridge Tower, is an 87-storey skyscraper in London that forms part of the London Bridge Quarter development. Standing approximately 306 metres (1,004 ft) high, the Shard is currently the tallest building in the European Union. It is the second-tallest free-standing structure in the United Kingdom. It was designed by the Italian architect Renzo Piano, and was completed in November 2012. The Shard has quickly become an iconic symbol of London and has redefined London's skyline and the area of London Bridge.
This print can be found for sale in my etsy shop. Just like with the Gherkin, I tried printing it onto recycled manilla card as well to make some notebooks!
The notebooks can also be found for sale in my etsy shop.
