Please read over all the rules and information before applying in order to minimize any confusion before joining. If applying for a character that has already been dropped, it would be a good idea, though not required, to know something of their previous interactions. If you wish for your character to be placed in a specific house, please mention ( Read more... )

Character Name: Klan Klan

Character Series: Macross Frontier

Character Age: Her age is never mentioned, but in her adult macronized from, she was apparently attending college. Her true adult form is about fifty to sixty feet tall, but obviously for the RP, she’d be in her micronized form. However, there’s a problem that I’m not quite sure how to approach yet. In her micronized form, she’s stuck in a child’s body, despite the fact that she’s an adult.

Background: Klan Klan is a Zentradi female, a Meltrandi. The Zentradi are considered a ‘warrior race’ designed for warfare as their normal height is about fifty to sixty feet tall. Tradition dictates that they become soldiers, regardless of gender. Not much is known Klan Klan’s past except for her very close childhood friendship with Mikhail Blanc, who she and his other friends refer to as Michel. The two of them were extremely close, which was reinforced by ( ... )

Klan Klan spends several episodes grieving, and attempts to convince the hero, who is ensnared in a vicious love triangle, to act on his emotions before he runs out of time. Due to resilience, she recovers before the final battle and reclaims her position as a pilot. Since her own suit was wrecked, she pilots Mikhail’s suit as a tribute to his memory.

Personality: Klan Klan’s personality is rather difficult to understand since certain characteristics are present only in her adult form, while others are only present in her youthful stages. For example, in Klan Klan’s adult form, she tends to be much more mature, although in her micronized form, she is also capable of the same deductive reasoning and maturity that she is in her adult form. However, in her Zentradi state, she seems much more serious than she is as a child ( ... )

Character Name: Kyon

Character Series: The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya

Character Age: He's a first-year high school student, so 15-16.

Background: Kyon was born and raised a perfectly normal Japanese boy. Okay, sure, Kyon never believed in Santa Claus, and it took him until junior high to let go of the notions that beings such as aliens, time travelers, and espers existed, but otherwise, Kyon was totally normal. He lived a normal life, had normal friends, and went to a normal school ( ... )

A couple of days later, Yuki lent Kyon the book she was reading. The following day, Kyon cracked it open, only to have a slip of paper fall out. On the paper was a meeting time and place. Kyon went out that evening and found Yuki waiting patiently at the meeting place. Yuki brought Kyon back to her apartment, where she made a very startling (and unbelievable) revelation ( ... )

Personality: One phrase should come to mind whenever anyone (at least anyone familiar with TV Tropes) thinks of Kyon: Deadpan Snarker. Kyon fits the trope to a T. Externally, Kyon seems fairly laid-back and cynical, but when one takes a look at his internal monologue, you'll find that the boy snarks a lotA lot of this snarking is directed toward Haruhi's actions. The girl is just so strange and unusual and hyperactive that she keeps coming up with the craziest ideas. Though, really, it's understandable. When a girl is dragging you into everything she does, dressing up in a bunny suit whenever she wants to get attention or cool off, and randomly signing you and your group of friends up for sports you've never even played before, wouldn't you snark at her, too ( ... )

Sample Entry: (Italics are inner monologue.)

Mmph. Morning. The worst time of day for a teenager. To a student, morning means forcing yourself from a nice, warm, cozy bed while still tired, grabbing a short, unsatisfying meal, and heading off to school for the next eight hours to cram your brain with information you'll forget as soon as the term ends.

And for an older brother, there's the inevitability of your younger sister running in and waking you up. Hence the force yanking me out of bed right now. After all, gravity doesn't work that way.

*slowly opens his eyes, then when he takes in his surroundings, they shoot open*

WHAT?! What is this? What's going on here?!

This is most definitely NOT where I went to sleep last night! I've never even seen this room before ( ... )

Character Name: Tim Jones

Character Series: the Webcomic Bobbins, which eventually changed into Scary-Go-Round

Character Age:none given, but let’s go with 26

Background: Not much has been revealed about Tim’s past from before he appears in his canon. At one point he wrote an autobiography, but it is generally accepted that he made up just about everything in it. Tim first appeared as a music writer for the magazine “City Limit”, in the small English town of Tackleford. He was hardly the model employee, as he spent most of his time not going to work, but instead trying to become a musical superstar, inventing bizarre things, or just getting drunk. Tim’s life was basically just a regular person’s life only a bit weirder. He had no great quest driving his story. That said he has had some interesting exploits in his life… (Explanation: Tim’s canon material is extremely episodic, and Tim plays only a minor role in many of the stories. I have left those bits out, so ( ... )

A few months later, when Tim had become more sane, he entered an inventor’s convention, showing off his glow in the dark ducks (which would allow workers who are normally busy during the daylight hours to enjoy feeding the ducks.). He encountered his old nemesis, Seamus Fogerty (To readers, Seamus is completely new, *shrug*.), who had blatantly stolen an old idea of Tim’s for his invention. Long story short, Tim was eventually framed for Fogerty’s murder, but he was able to find the real killer with some help from his friends ( ... )

Personality: Tim walks through life in an almost dreamlike fashion, doing whatever looks like a good idea at the time (and even then, sometimes you have to really squint before it looks like a good idea) without thinking about it too hard, or thinking about it in a very roundabout way. You could argue that Tim is a mad scientist; he even has a cupboard full of time machines in his garage. But if Tim is a mad scientist, he is the most mellow, non-dangerous mad scientist in history. The most dangerous thing we have seen him make is a trebuchet, and that didn’t even work right, because he made it with one hand badly injured. It is implied, however, that he could make some very dangerous things if he wanted to.

As suggested by the time machines, Tim is very smart, but only in certain areas. He has no trouble inventing all kinds of weird shit (Most notable inventions: Time Machine, Trouble-tron (a machine that lets you know when something is going wrong), the aforementioned Unit Daisy, and the Guiltomatic, which can tell if you are guilty ( ... )

Character Name: Sydney Poindexter, commonly known as just Poindexter.

Character Series: Danny Phantom (what else would you expect from me)

Character Age: in life he got to about 18 (in my personal opinion), but his ghost (which I’ll be playing) looks to be no older than 15 in body or mind.

Background: A good portion of this is personal conjecture based on canon background images, hints, and a bit of my own personal ideas, because this guy has about as much history as the 22nd century ( ... )

It's only 3 parts long, I guess. legendof724 March 1 2009, 13:30:30 UTC
In 2004, there was a sudden ghostly “outbreak” when the Fenton scientists opened their operational Ghost Portal. Their son, Danny Fenton, was often bullied too, and when he had his fill, he decided to strike back. Using his ghostly powers from an accident in the ghost portal, he got payback on all the school’s jocks and cheerleaders, his main tormentors. Poindexter’s spirit began to act even more constantly, punishing almost every bully in the school until finally, his rage at bullies became so overwhelming that he broke straight through his realm in the Ghost Zone to the human world. Poindexter, as far as he knew, saw Danny himself as the bully and began to fight him until he realized Danny was “the halfa”, a half-human half-ghost hybrid who was often talked about in the Ghost Zone. Through a hint from Danny himself, Poindexter learned that as a ghost, he could possess people. And so, he jumped into Danny’s body and possessed it, leaving Danny to be sucked back into Poindexter’s ghostly Casper High in his body ( ... )

But that's still a lot for a one-time "villain." legendof724 March 1 2009, 13:31:11 UTC
Personality: At first glance, Poindexter is a conventional ghost, personality-wise: hellbent and obsessed with one particular thing. In his case, it’s revenge on bullies and protecting the bullied. He has an innate ability to relate everything to bullying somehow, but he doesn’t always do this-usually when he’s. Well. Not being vengeful.

Aside from that, though, Poindexter is much as he was in life. He is very clever but tends to be on the dorky side (this is speculation, but I see Poindexter as the kind of kid who reads comic books when he’s not doing mounds of homework for Mathletes) at times. Despite this cleverness, though, he is clueless when it comes to his ghostly powers and is socially inept-the only reason he made friends in the 21st century is because he speaks funny.

Poindexter is also obnoxiously naïve. Poindexter sees the best in everyone and never assumes the worst unless he has solid proof of it. Even when he spotted Dash at the soda machine, a burly quarterback who looked like anything but kind, he still figured ( ... )

Character Name: Repede

Character Series: Tales of Vesperia

Character Age: 4

Background: Repede was born in a rural area, which he lived in for two years. It was clear from the beginning that Repede was a rather intelligent dog and his owner recognized this. His owner was a thief who had done rather well for himself and smoked regularly. The two were quite close and got along quite well. For example, Repede had a chain for a collar, but he was never tied down; there was enough trust and loyalty between the two that one wouldn't leave the other. To help protect himself against the monsters in the area, his owner taught him how to fight with a knife. Repede picked it up quicker than expected, becoming proficient by the time he was two ( ... )

Personality: By all intents and purposes, Repede should be having an existential crisis. Repede considers himself superior to other dogs to the point that he doesn't consider himself a dog. However, at the same time, he doesn't consider himself human. He fights with a knife and uses blastia, but that's his limit. If anything, he's something between a dog and a human, but he never thinks hard on it ( ... )
