I DONE ITS!!!!
I finally reinstalled Windows and did the scaryscary hacking of my phone. It worked! Now I have a snippet of the end of "Another Day" as my ringtone. I live in the land of Win. What's silly is that most of the time, I just keep my phone on vibrate. But it's satisfying to know that I stuck it to The Man - the Verizon Man.
(Ironically, my iPod has stopped being recognized by my computer. I can charge it, but I can't change the songs. I thought reinstalling Windows might fix this, but it didn't. I think once when I was using it while running, I got some sweat in it, which is slowly degrading the system. Me and electronics, I swaaar.)
