Actually, Iran isn't holding out hope on Obama making a difference overseas, but says that any effort would be appreciated.

I'm sorry, you're my friend and this is the nicest way to say this, but all of these are long discredited rumors put out by the McCain campaign. Ayers is not a close friend with Barack Obama, and at best, they had a passing association. With a weak relationship isn't worth the effort to attack Obama for having, but that was the weakness of the McCain campaign. Smear tactics and negative ad campaigns do not win elections, but McCain banked on that, and that's why he lost.
Video evidence of him associating pleasantly with a known terrorist is a fact. But I really don't want to get into this. I hate talking politics with friends. That's why I never do.
