I mean, honestly, we need to preserve the right to bear arms in our country. You never know when the Brits will try to take over again and we will need to muster up a militia because our ($439.3 billion dollar in 2007) military is not strong enough.
I mean, yeah the Bill of Rights says a lot of strange things, like the fourth through the eighth amendments, which "protect" from things like "unreasonable search and seizure," and defend "due process." Why do we need those? Heck, the Bill of Rights also protects the right of "trial by jury and rights of the accused," a "speedy trial," and a "public trial." I mean, this crazy addition to the perfect American Constitution even defends a "civil trial by jury" and prohibits "excessive bail and cruel and unusual punishment." But the fact of the matter is that the USA PATRIOT Act has delivered the United States from evil and that the practice of "waterboarding" totally works according to his holiness, the Commander in Chief.
But what is important is that we pay attention to the most important amendment, the second.
I am certainly imperfect, but this really hurts both my heart and my mind.
In lighter news, Celtic won the league since my last post (which was a long while ago!). Looking forward to next season...
