I've been so freakin' busy lately. Saturday I headed up to Pelham Bay Park to table for the Young Women's Day Health and Fitness Expo with one of my supervisors from my internship. Yesterday I trekked up to Mamaroneck (a 3.5 hour journey via train) for internship stuff. Came back to NYC and had some beers with Cobby to catch up. Tuesday I caught a train into the city, sat in Starbucks for a bit to read until my supervisor's train got into Penn Station and then caught a Taxi with her to meetup with the other person leading my internship at a vegan restaurant. Woke up at 6 am to head into NYC for a press conference on the budget cuts to the NY state school food program for my internship. Got to finally meet my supervisor and take pictures of all the speakers/press, help set things up, etc. There was even some assemblyman from Albany. My first press conference! It was pretty cool.
