A Post!
1) I am rearranging the den, in light of the flood of papers I now must deal with, and the fact my desk was never optimized for a computer
2) This has necessitated moving books in preparation for another desk. I have apparently become weak, and feeble in this task, as I for a second thought "wow, I have a lot of books" before snapping back into reality and thinking this would have been nothing for Forum Librarian Drew. But, was an effort for Unionized NYC Teacher Drew.
3) Where the hell is Hew Strachan's second volume of his World War I series? I had to read Vol. 1 in 2004 as per Barnhart's WW1 class. Eight years, and two degrees later, volume 1 is still alone on my book shelf. He is still alive, and wrote a one-volume piece on the entire war...did he give up on the concept of an epic three-volume treatment? If so - shame! Shelby Foote wasn't even a formally trained historian, and he released his epic three volumes on the Civil War.
